Notes on the Harmattan Collection
Every collection starts somewhere unglamorous. Harmattan started with a wool sample left folded on the cutting table for a week, and the way it held a crease before slowly releasing it. That single detail became the argument for the whole season: structure that softens rather than restrains.
We spent the following months testing that idea against different fabrics and different bodies. A coat that looked sharp on a stand needed to soften across a shoulder in motion. A trouser that photographed well needed to survive a full day of sitting, walking and standing without losing its line.
The name came late, once the palette had already settled into the muted, dust toned neutrals that mark the season in Accra when the wind carries fine sand down from the Sahara. It felt right for a collection built on the same quiet, persistent pressure.
